So here’s part 1 of the Hello Kitty birthday weekend! Friday night my daughter had her friends over for a sleepover party. I picked up this Hello Kitty Wilton pan and Emily and I decorated it together. Actually, she did a good part of it. I blobbed the icing on and she went to work smoothing it. I showed her how to do the sides and then she went to town and did a fantastic job getting them really smooth. I showed her the technique for the top and again she went at it.
I was impressed! Then we took our magic smoother to it and ta-da! Hello Kitty. We then used the chocolate candy melts to make the bow, eyes, and mouth using the cleaned cake pan. It’s a super easy technique that’s great for this type of thing. Just use your cleaned metal pan. Pour some melted chocolate candy melts into the spot you want to mold. Tap the pan on the counter to get rid of air bubbles then pop it in the fridge for about 10 min. It will easily pop out again. Instant bow 🙂
Then she spent about 15 min practicing how to write to “sign” her name on the side of the board. I think she did great. She was beat after this and wanted me to write Happy Birthday though 🙂
